Mt. Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church, located in Canton, Ohio, is prayerfully seeking a Pastor called by God who is ordained and dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ. We are looking for a visionary and innovative leader who has a vision to teach, grow the church and spread the gospel to the next generation. Mt. Calvary is a multigenerational church that has been in existence for 120 years.

The Mt. Calvary Second Missionary Baptist Church congregation (Canton, Ohio) is in search of our next pastor entrusted with the responsibility of providing leadership in a multi-faceted capacity- as a Leader, Pastor, and Teacher who has a heart for God and a love for God’s people.

We are excited about our future and the direction God is leading us. We are a church family who aspires to become greater in service, vibrant in ministry, and creative in outreach.  We envision our pastor as a vigorous, innovative visionary leader who will show us a path that is led by the Spirit of Christ for our future.

It is in this spirit that we seek God’s wisdom and knowledge in calling our next pastor.

Sunday Mornings 

We offer Sunday School sessions prior to the start of our worship service. Classes began at 9:30 am and are offered for all ages. 
 
At 10:45 am, we gather together to encounter God through worship, celebrate His presence in our lives, and to offer expressions that honor and glorify Him. 

Music and song has always played an integral role in our worship services at Mt. Calvary. Our choirs have been a source of spiritual encouragement and inspiration. Our goal is to present music that minister to all who worship with us. We do this by blending traditional and current music in our worship. 

Our hope is to provide uplifting, reverent, and meaningful worship and to create an atmosphere where people can express their praise and joy in a way that represents their love to God.
